Happy 29th of Halloween, my friends! I hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend filled with glorious cool weather, comfy clothes, and copious amounts of sleeps. I’ve been doing a whole lot of nothing other than attempting to sleep and watching entirely too much stuff on Netflix. There’s a whole lot that I could be doing, but that requires way more effort than I’m willing to put forth at this point in time.
While I’m all bundled up in a bajillion blankets and a few pairs of leggings, I want to share some pretty kickass green shades that are perfect for Halloween! Chrissy from Turtle Tootsie Polishes has been on a roll this year, and this trio adds some spooky goodness to her arsenal of creations. These are currently discounted from now until Halloween, but I’ll explain a bit more of that toward the end. Let’s take a look at the purdy photos, yeah?
Ghastly Ghoul; a pastel lime green scattered holo polish with lime green holographic microglitters. This shade is so ethereal and soft, but bright and I love it! It has the tendency to show brushstrokes if you overwork the polish, but it goes on nice and smoothly in two coats. Just look at that inner glow!
Frankenstein’s Mask; a scattered holo polish with lime green holographic micro glitter that changes from black when cold to green when warm. It’s so squishy! The formula on this one was impeccable just like the rest, and went on smoothly in two coats. It’s also a superstar when it comes to transitioning! It’s super super reactive and changes quickly. Of course, on my nubs, you see most of the warm state, but I’d recommend checking out Sam Davalos’ photo here (also, you should follow her because her swatches are actual goals, like oh my god).
Fright Night; a black polish with lime green holo micro glitter that shifts green depending on the lighting. FN is the perfect inky black to round out the trio, and it really is an enigma in a bottle. It’s delightfully opaque in two coats and settled super easily. The shift is absolutely G O R G E O U S. Legit.
OH! And then I arted a little! It came out messy and NOTHING like I imagined, but dangit, I tried. I used the full trio for a smooshy mani and then stamped Frankenstein over the top. It didn’t occur to me that with FM being a thermal, it wouldn’t show up unless my hands were cold. Ooops.
Ahaha, moving on from that mess. These three ghoulish pretties are available now! You can grab all three full size polishes for $25 or the three of them in minis for $15. If you’d like them individually, they’re $10 for full or $6 for mini. The discounted price for the trio ends on Halloween, so I’d recommend grabbing them before then!
While I have your attention, don’t forget to check out Turtle Tootsie Polishes through their other social media channels:
Thanks for stopping by, nerdlings! I’m going to get back to watching Fear the Walking Dead and then attempt to swatch more. With the Polish Pickup happening this coming weekend, keep an eye out for double posts Monday through Thursday!
***The nail polishes mentioned in this post were sent to me in exchange for an honest review and photos, which can be found above.***
