Press samples ahead!

You guys. We made it through a Monday. And some of us even did it without naps. Shoot, if you took one, though, you still did the thing and I am still proud! Today is the kind of Monday that felt like a weird Thursday with no end in sight. Truly frightening, right? YEAH.

This evening, I’ve got two gorgeous Literary Lacquers to share with you lovely nerds. They’re going to be reopening on June 23rd at 12p MST with 24 returning favorites, 1 group custom, 1 GWP, and 3 new core polishes. I have a few posts set up to share my swatches, but tonight we’ll take a look at 2 of the returning shades! Another one that’s coming back is Long May She Reign, which was on my blog back in October, and I’m going to be heavily judging y’all if you don’t have it already. When the shop opens, it won’t be a restock situation – it’ll stay open and items will be continuously restocked as needed.

First up is And So I Step Up, which is a wine-colored and glass-flecked polish. This one is such a seductive and vampy red, and it’s shifty as all get out. It’s not a super strong shifter, but it’ll transform from this warm almost bronze, to the berry wine shade depending on your lighting. My swatches show just two thin coats and top coat. This polish is inspired by The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood

And the second one I have tonight is “Hope” Is the Thing With Feathers, which was inspired by a poem from Emily Dickinson! It’s described as a pinky amethyst linear holo with strong blue shimmer. Mmmmmh this one. This one is my jam. It was nearly a one-coater for me, but I added a second just out of habit. The holographic flame in this is SUPER strong and absolutely delicious. I tend to find myself staying away from lighter purple shades but Amy did an incredible job, and I know that I’m going to need a backup of this one for sure. It’s the perfect base for nail art!

Ugh, aren’t they both gorgeous?! I’m super excited to see LitLac making a comeback as an open shop, I’ve missed them so! Are there any that you’re hoping to see come back this Friday?

Be sure to check out all of the links below for more info and photos on all that Literary Lacquers has to offer!

I think I’m going to head to bed and pretend that I’m not melting from the inside out because my roommates like to keep the air on 75. If I’m not back tomorrow with another post, just know that I loved y’all, and boiling alive probably wasn’t too bad.

Thanks for stopping by!

***The nail polishes mentioned in this post were sent to me in exchange for an honest review and photos, which can be found above.***
