MY DUDES! It’s Wednesday. AND I’M WORKING LIKE WHAT EVEN IS. Ugh. Boyfriend had to go to NJ for work through the end of the week, so instead of being mopey (don’t judge, I don’t like being alone in the house), I picked up some hours. And by pick up, I mean I traded so I should have the day off the day he comes back. Or something. I forsee plenty of naps and bubble baths over the next few days.
Speaking of a bubble bath. He told me last night to have a “nice tub journey”…
I cackled. Hard. Bless his sweet heart.
So uh. Wanna see some pretty polish inspired by a kickass human and awesome music?
The ever-fabulous Mardi over at The Howling Boutique’s Supermoon Lacquer based her second collection around Kesha’s song, Cannibal, which was also the title of her second album. I had previously snagged a few of the polishes from the collection, but when Mardi reached out to me about swatching, I was super excited when she sent this gorgeous blue!
I’ve been a big fan of Kesha’s from her very first album, and I’m incredibly proud of how she’s grown over the last decade (holy crap, has it really been that long?!).
Before I turn into a big pile of fangirl mess and mush and feelings, let’s get into the polish itself!
This one is Now I’m Gonna Eat You, Fool! and it’s a delicious light aqua blue scattered holographic with blue and gold sparks, turquoise and violet shimmer, iridescent blue micro flakies, and holographic silver microglitters. This one nearly went on in one coat for me, but I doubled back with a second one just to be safe. It’s absolutely gorgeous. I love that it appears to be squishy? I don’t know how to explain it. The formula was super smooth and went on easily. This one just has depth to it. It’s fantastic, really.
Don’t you just want to dive right on in? Helllllloooooo summer! I mean, just look at that aqua flash to it. Unf.
Annnnnd then I tried a little stamping over it, for funsies. My stamper threw a hissy fit, but I love the swirly waves over the blue. I used Dia from Moonflower Polish and a Bundle Monster plate. Cute, no?
This polish is normally $10 (plus shipping), but it’s currently out of stock. H O W E V E R. Mardi is planning to restock this in the next week or so! You need to get you this. Seriously.
And now for a bunch of links!
