Wait wait wait wait wait. Day blogging? Again? YEAH MY DUDES. I’ve got a lame horror movie playing, a diet coke in hand, some fantastic wax melting, and I’m bundled up since Narnia is now actually WAY too cold, so why not blog it up?

I’ve got a sassy little collection that I know y’all are gonna love. Allison of le polish has created these 4 gorgeous polishes inspired by the TV show Daria. Which, by the way, I totally need to go back and rewatch. It’s been WAY too long since I’ve seen any episodes. I’m pretty sure the show kickstarted my sarcastic sense of humor. I can dig it. If you’d like to see more, just keep reading! I’ve got a ton of photos and gifs to share, and I know y’all are gonna love every bit of it!

HOKAY! So, the Sick Sad Collection is releasing tomorrow afternoon over at, but we’ll get to all that important stuff at the end. I’ve had these swatches done for a while now, and I’ve been so excited to share them. I’m honestly head-over-heels in love with all four of these, and I may or may not have worn one or two of them again since I received them. THEY’RE JUST SO GOOD.

Excuse Me: Inspired by Daria Morgendorffer; “a forest green shimmer with green and bronze glitters and green and gold flakies. Perfect for when you have low esteem for everyone.” This one, my goodness. It’s this shimmery flakie jelly(ish) goodness, and it’s perfectly opaque in two coats. Also! It’s super smooth going on, and leaves no texture whatsoever. I’m a damn happy camper. I’m just so…

Starving Artist: Inspired by Jane Lane; “a dark, vampy red full of holo, shimmer and microflakies. A great polish to wear when you’re being artistic, or you know, just eating pizza and complaining.” Vampy. Red. Holo. Sweet jesus, sign me the hell up. It’s so pigmented that this one took just one coat and TC and frig. I almost have no words. I felt sexy as all get out, and on my longer nails? Allllllllll the yes!

Mystik Spiral: Inspired by Trent Lane; “a spring-y olive green full of shimmer and metallic flakies. Wear it to band practice, if you ever make it there.” This one was nearly a single-coater, but I added a second just to be safe. The metallic flakies are just so unique – I don’t think I’ve seen many indies use them, or at least not like this. Mystik Spiral has to be my favorite of the four.

Fashion Club: Inspired by Quinn Morgendorffer; “a bubblegum pink crelly full of pink and yellow glitters. Because you just can’t help being cute.” HELLO SPRING! For someone that doesn’t really enjoy glittery crellies, I completely adore this one! I had a few issues with glitters sinking at first, but I’m going to chalk that up to the weather and it sitting on my desk for a day or two. I flipped it upside down for a few hours and gave it a good shake and had no issues after that. I’m also super pleased with how opaque this one is! It took two coats and one coat of Seche and it settled beautifully on the nails without any sort of texture.

Yeeees, good! Do you have any favorites? Or rather, do any of y’all remember watching this show? I was a bit young when it was on TV, but I thoroughly enjoyed watching it.

And now for those precious deets I know you’ve all been waiting for!

Available at – they’ll go up for preorder tomorrow at noon (March 17th) until the 19th at 11:59PM. They’re available in full size only at $10 each. The first 20 orders will come with a special Daria button. You know you need some flair in your life. Shiiiiiiet, we all do.

Be sure to check out le polish on all of those sweet social media channels! You’re definitely going to want to check out the facebook group. Allison has fun stuff going all the time. Today may or may not be thirsty Thursday, so come join us!

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to convince my boyfriend to order pizza for dinner. Thanks for stopping by!

***The polishes mentioned in this post were sent to me in exchange for an honest review and photos, which can both be found above.***
