Halleloo, we made it through a work week, my friends. All that is standing between me and freedom is a shift tomorrow night. And then you know what? I’m off until Thursday, hell. the. frig. yes. We’re going to Cedar Point in Ohio on Monday and I’m kinda jazzed. It’s a tiny break away from the house and my desk and I cannot wait. Now I just need to get my butt to the store for sunscreen and some capris (and maybe a fanny back because I mean really, who can actually carry a phone and glucose tabs while on a roller coaster? Don’t judge. You know it’s a good idea.) Until then, though, I’m going to continue to work on swatches and nail art and all the things because I feel as if I have a duty to share all that is good in the lacquered world with y’all.

This evening, I’ve got 4 of the shimmery metallic stamping shades from Moonflower Polish‘s La Isla del Encanto summer collection to share. I’m going to go ahead and include Nadia’s description of the collection because it’s pretty special, and you’ll understand the names of the polishes a bit more that way. There’s also a discount code for my readers at the end of the post, so keep reading!

It’s almost Friday, y’all. We made it. Mostly. I’m sitting here, waiting for my pizza to cool and listening to the nerds click and type their way through video games and relaxing. Probably going to be a tub journey night. Yup. Mark’s parents just left to go back home but stopped by to hang out for a little. Was super nice, they’re an absolute pleasure to be around! I don’t have anything super interesting to share up here, so let’s get into the polish, yeah?

Connie from Seventy Seven Nail Lacquer is back with the awesome Life’s a Beach trio that is absolutely perfect for summer, and she even opened up the preorder a bit early for y’all!

The weather is disgusting. IT’S 96 DEGREES HERE IN NARNIA. THE REAL FEEL? 106. I left the South to ditch the heat and I swear, it just followed me up here. I had a wax package out for delivery, and freaked out trying to make sure Mark grabbed it off the porch before it could melt. Bless his heart. He puts up with my insanity and the barrage of texts day in and day out. He’s such a good egg.

I’m back this afternoon with some more Literary Lacquers goodness! If you missed my post from Monday on some of the returning favorites, you can check that out here. This Friday, the 23rd at noon MST, they’re reopening the shop with a ton of older favorites as well as a new core trio and a special gift with purchase polish. I’ve got the latter two on the blog today, so let’s jump in, yeah?

Good morning, my little owlets! I’ve been awake since 8am and I’m pretty sure the world is ending. I didn’t fall asleep till after 3 , and I’m not entirely sure that I’m fully awake. The only thing that’s keeping me going is my sugar free monster and the promise of a nap in 2 hours. Yup. Times is hard.

But! Aside from the sense of impending doom and sleepiness, I’ve got some more gorgeous Night Owl Lacquers to share! Along with my Little Owlet Duo that I worked with Lindsay to create, she also launched a 4 piece collection that’s absolutely perfect for summer and all beach-goers.

The Beach Life Collection is available now, so let’s take a look at this awesome quad! Oh! And also, I still have that discount code active, so be sure to read till the end for that!

Hey y’all! I hope you guys are having a fantastic evening! We just got back from seeing Wonder Woman, and ho lee she it, it was FANTASTIC. I didn’t think I’d like it (because I really only watch horror movies, if any at all), but it was SO well done. It didn’t fit in with the cheesy, over-the-top campy trope that most superhero movies do, and I am very glad. I definitely would like to see it again at some point! Have you guys seen it?

Anywho. This duo that I’ve got to share with y’all tonight, oh my word. I’m so excited. It’s been in the works for a few months now, and wish schedules letting up a bit, my dearest Lindsay from Night Owl Lacquer made it happen and ready to go this weekend. You see, in the fan group on facebook, which I help admin, I refer to the folks in there as my little owlets. It caught on and now that’s what I think of them as. The group is small, and just lovely. Well, I found a gif of a widdol baby owlet getting some good pats on the head, and all I went to Lindsay with the idea of a group custom based on it.

Hey loves! I’m super backlogged on swatching, so this is going to be quick, but you’re going to love all of it, I promise. Ella Ann Cosmetics, one of my favorite stockists, has decided to close her doors and step back from the polish world. Kristen has done a wonderful job over the last 3 or so years, and I sincerely hope that she has a blast with whatever her next venture is!

As a send off, of sorts, Dave, the octo-overlord from Octopus Party Nail Lacquer, has created a 5 piece tropical collection as a final collab with EAC, and that’s what I’m here to show you tonight! These are 5 tropical jellies with soft holo. They’ll be going up for preorder on June 9th at 9pm EST, so make sure to set your alarms!

You guys. I worked a morning shift and I didn’t cry. I did the thing. I did, however, take a nap after stuffing my face full of triscuits and lemonade. Adulting at its finest, right? In other news, I found another creepy thing to watch online. Apparently, this last Fall, Fox aired a series called The Exorcist, and I have just discovered it. My creepy little heart is happy, y’all. I’ve been watching it nonstop all day. While watching, I also had the chance to swatch some pretties, so today is like a total win.

For June’s Polish Pickup, Dave from Octopus Party Nail Lacquer created a GORGEOUS cobalt jelly that I’m excited to share with you guys tonight!

Good evening, my little nerdlings! Today is my day off and I’ve been a complete bum. Mark had to go out of town for work again (just till tomorrow, thank goodness), so I curled my lazy ass up in bed and went back to sleep. Got up to get some yummy Chinese food, get this post up, and then I’m debating curling back up after a lovely tub journey. I’ve never really been one to just lounge around and relax. I’ve never been good at it, but man. This is nice.

This weekend starts June’s Polish Pickup launch for the month and I’m super excited because there’s some super gorgeous polishes that’ll be available. If you’re not familiar with the idea, it’s pretty neat! Each month, folks get the chance to vote on themes and then makers will create gorgeous polishes based on the chosen theme. From there, the weekend that they go live, you can pick and choose which polishes you’d like to purchase. Shipping is a flat $3 to the US and Canada regardless of how many polishes you purchase. Definitely beats buying a box for only one or two polishes and then hoping you can sell the other ones in the box that you didn’t wish to buy. I’ve got full details in an older post here just in case you’d like to learn a bit more!

Happy Monday, folks! I have recently been informed that it is Memorial Day, and I hope that everyone is having a lovely day resting and taking the time to remember our fallen military folks. I’m scheduled to work today, but that’s totally fine with me. Overtime and the ability to be lazy in my favorite pajama pants along with a very yummy coffee-scented wax melting in my warmer. All in all, not bad!

For this evening’s rambly blog post, I’ve got a new-to-me brand to share with y’all, and I’m super excited. Tee M. from Necessary Evil Polish sent me some of the polishes that she’s got in her shop on Etsy. Her brand is Necessary Evil Polish, and oh man. These are fantastic. I love the idea behind the brand, too. Tee’s motto is that nail polish and lacquer are an accessory that every gal needs, and our quest to own all of the colors becomes an evil obsession (I SO can confirm!), hence the name, Necessary Evil Polish. I love it! And there are cute little skulls on the bottles. Makes my dark little weirdo heart happy. Let’s get into it, yeah? Yeah!

Happy Friday, folks! I’m back with some awesome mainstream neons that are PERFECT for summer! Through Preen.me, I had the chance to work with Morgan Taylor for their Selfie Summer 2017 Collection and oh man, I’m in love. There’s cremes, shimmers, tiny flakies. Just, everything one could possibly want for summery shades! This is going to be photo-heavy, so I’m just going to get right to it, yeah?

There are six gorgeous shades that you can get in either duos or individually, as well as a top coat and base coat that transform the polishes into an almost gel-like formula without any lamp! They also sent me a cute selfie stick to capture all of my adventures out in the world, but if we’re being honest, I work from home and I don’t leave my house often so it’s not going to get a lot of use unless we go on vacation. It’s cute as hell, though. I’ll probably harass the boyfriend for photos with it.
