Press samples ahead

Happy Monday, friends! This weekend was a hot mess but oh so much fun. I had a few drinks at the house for my birthday before Mark had to work, and they were so good! This is the recipe in case you’d like to check it out! Once we got there, one of his friends stopped in to say hello and decided that we should go to the bar/restaurant on the other side of the street for my obligatory birthday fishbowl which, by the way, WAS AN ADIOS MOTHERF**KER. Y’all. Mistakes. Were. Made. I mean. I don’t think I drank too much, I know my limit AND it was super spread out, but come 8am, I was a mess and wound up getting super sick. We’re fairly confident that it was either a bug or food poisoning and my happy ass curled up in the bathtub for an hour and now my ribs hurt from getting sick. Neato. At least it waited until 8 hours into being 26, haha.

Now that I’m feeling a bit better, I wanted to share these 5 gorgeous polishes from Seventy Seven Nail Lacquer that are up for sale now!

Press samples ahead!

I’m actually awake before 4pm. This. This doesn’t happen often. And what’s more? I’ve even showered already AND I’m blogging. I feel like a whole new person!

…Okay, maybe that’s stretching it. But, today is my day off, and I figured why not get a blog post up before we leave this evening? Connie over at Seventy Seven Nail Lacquer created 5 gorgeous small batch beauties for the month, and I was lucky enough to swatch them.

Now, when I say small batch, I mean small batch. Once these are gone, they’re gone for good and that’s sad because I’m pretty sure there’s a few here that every nail lacquer-loving human should have. Trufax. Anywho. LEHGGO.

If y’all love holo as much as I do, you need to join Holo-maniacs on Facebook. Seriously. Like. Yesterday. Megan from Mindfully Polished has managed to wrangle up all of the holo hussies of FB and stick them in one group together. It’s glorious. And dangerous for my bank account. I REGRET NOTHING. Since the group started a few months back, she’s been working with several indie makers to have some beautiful customs made for us. HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNG.

May’s maker was Anonymous Lacquer  and Mildred friggen knocked it out of the park. This was my first purchase from AL and it certainly won’t be my last. She was tasked with creating a purple holo and oh my. I want to bathe in it. I seriously regret not buying backups.

Ohay y’all! There’s a super neat trio releasing today from 3 fantastic makers and I’ve got some of it to share with you fine folks! The USPS may or may not have eaten the other packages, so swatches for the other two will come later in the week, but for now, I’ve got a STUNNING shimmery creme from Northern Star Polish ready to share. :D (Btw, did y’all miss seeing Kristin on my blog? ME TOO!)

Mmmmmh cupcakes. If they weren’t so damn messy, they’d be my go-to sweet treat. I, however, make messes like a 5 year old child so I’ll just stick to ice cream and call it a day. These polishes, though. They make me want to try baking again… Maybe. I tried to make angel food cupcakes for my boyfriend’s birthday and went through 4 boxes of batter (THEY ALL BURNED) before I gave up and decided that maybe I shouldn’t be baking. Angry tears may have happened.

MOVING ON. Polished for Days has teamed up with Illyrian Polish for a monthly themed box that features a third indie maker. I’d passed up the last few boxes, but as soon as I saw that Cupcake Polish was the featured maker, I had to snag a box. That, and cupcakes. Yes, good. May’s theme was Cupcakes for Dessert!

I can finally share the last (but not least) part of the STUNNING NoSleep collection from Carpe Noctem Cosmetics with y’all! We had a slight mishap with my brush for the bottle, but Emily was right on it and super quick to fix it. I love her so.

I’ve got swatches of Hunter’s Moon and I couldn’t be more excited. As soon as the brush came in, I ran upstairs to get it alllll up in that cap so I could paint my nails. I may or may not have made a mess since the lid had polish in it already. #noragrets

Game. Of. Thrones. My heart. It’s gone. Destroyed. Nothing. He held the damn door.

Now that our hearts have been completely shattered, let’s take a look at some gorgeous happy polish, eh? Celestial Cosmetics, an awesome Aussie maker, recently released their Valyrio Collection and I was able to get my hands on two of the six from Color4Nails so it wouldn’t take a bajillion years for international shipping. Hallaluler, thank goodness for international stockists. Y’all the real MVP.

I don’t know why it took me so long to fall in love with Cupcake Polish. I ordered Berry Good Looking a few months ago because the internet was raving about it, and it was love at first sight. When I first saw the Butterfly Collection on instagram, I knew I had to have it. It’s holo. It’s bright. It’s perfection in tiny glass bottles. It was going to be mine.
