Hey y’all! I hope you’ve had a wonderful holiday weekend! I’ve worked nonstop, but I had to take a small break to share this beauty with you guys!
Emily from Carpe Noctem Cosmetics (I sincerely hope that y’all know her by now!) made a GORGEOUS custom polish for one of my best and oldest (don’t kill me! <3) friends, Anna.
I can finally share the last (but not least) part of the STUNNING NoSleep collection from Carpe Noctem Cosmetics with y’all! We had a slight mishap with my brush for the bottle, but Emily was right on it and super quick to fix it. I love her so.
I’ve got swatches of Hunter’s Moon and I couldn’t be more excited. As soon as the brush came in, I ran upstairs to get it alllll up in that cap so I could paint my nails. I may or may not have made a mess since the lid had polish in it already. #noragrets
I’m baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack! Two posts in less than a week? AW YISS making habits. And stuff. Or actually just trying to be good at this blogging thing. Anywho. I’ve got another CNC goody to share today and I couldn’t be more excited. It’s got to be one of my absolute favorites from Emily so far.
This polish, as classy as it looks, is inspired by one of the sassiest shows ever, Shin Chan. Emily from Carpe Noctem Cosmetics has a fantastic sense of humor. If you’re friends with her on Facebook, you’ll see the hilarious things she shares. From King of the Hill/Studio Ghibli crossovers to tiny crocheted potatoes, it’s great. After getting to know her over the last year, it’s no surprise that she’d make a STUNNING polish based on this tiny, chaotic human:
Happy Saturday, nerdlings! I’m currently curled up in my bedcave, fighting off a nasty cold, but I couldn’t deny y’all the awesomeness that is this collection from Carpe Noctem Cosmetics.
My favorite way to end the day (other than curled up next to my man, catching up on stuff on Netflix), is to scare the absolute hell out of myself by reading NoSleep stories. r/NoSleep is my favorite subreddit. Has been for years. I’m a huge fan of paranormal and supernatural stuff, so naturally, I love reading user-created stories. If you’re curious, one of my favorites is the Boothworld series. Oh man. It’s glorious. And chill-inducing. So good, I promise.
Y’all. It’s Friday. Know what means? It means that I have two more shifts (including one in 30 minutes) until I’m off for 7 days straight. Do you know why that’s so exciting?
I’ve worked the last 84 days straight. My own fault, but I’m not complaining one bit. I love my job. I love the paychecks. However, I’m jazzed as all get out because my amazing boyfriend is coming to visit AND Georgia’s weather has finally cooled down.
I’m back with another HUGE linkup with some fantastic nail addicts. This month’s theme? Favorite fall polish! It’s incredibly difficult picking just one, but out of all the indies that I own, one comes to mind as an absolute favorite for this time of year. I looked back on my Instagram feed and I surprisingly have only shared it as an accent, but I’ve used it enough that I’m halfway through my bottle.
Take A Drink, Michael was one of my first two polishes from Carpe Noctem Cosmetics and it’s a favorite for sure. This blackened bronze (and sometimes burgundy?!) holo is perfect for this time of year (let’s face it – it’s perfect for ANY time of the year!) and magically shifts color depending on the lighting you’re in.
There’s hardly anything more relaxing, to me, than pouring a large glass of wine, lighting a few candles, and taking a bubble bath with a face mask on.
I, however, do not know how to relax. My version of that is sitting on the floor of my new, barren apartment with a beer and a mask on. Hell. Yes.
I find it very cruel to make an indie addict pick their top 5 favorite polishes when there’s at least a bajillion pretty little brands that are all equally awesome. I must have sat in front of my collection for a good 45 minutes trying to narrow it down. If I’m going to be honest, I have more like a top 72. They’re just ALL SO PRETTY. Ugh.
Karen from Pish.Posh.Polish decided to round up several bloggers to pick their favorites so be sure to check out the links at the bottom of this post to see what the others chose as theirs!
