Maaaaan. I think Wednesday might be the new Monday, at least in my universe. It never seems to fail that the whole day is a mess. Woke up with the migraine back in full force, aura included, and found a PR package on the porch that had 16 bottles shattered inside. My whole house now smells like nail polish, it’s gloriously awful. I’ve become immune to the scent over the years, but smelling 16 at once was enough to make my hurty skull angry.
I’m currently at the LAN center while Mark works, and my head has quieted to a dull roar, so I figured I’d knock out a post or two since the January Polish Pickup swatchathon begins tomorrow. I’m so excited for y’all to see everything – the theme is going to be absolutely stellar.
But before that, I have two awesome Polish of the Month offerings from Jennalyn over at LynBDesigns to share! If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably already seen them but they most definitely deserve their own blog post, so here we are!
First we’ll take a look at Mirthful ($10), which is a GORGEOUS crelly. Seriously. It has a pale aqua base that’s loaded with all sorts of purple and pink glitters. I was worried it’d be textured just because there are so many glitters, but nope! They settled easily and I didn’t have to fish at all to get them on my brush. My photos show two coats plus top coat. This polish is so happy, it lives up to the name for sure!
Next up is Futterwacken ($10), which is a reboot of a polish from April of 2014. The pigment was no longer available at the time, so Jennalyn kept the recipe tucked away just in case she found another source for it. And she did, and I am SO glad! It’s described as a deep purple jelly base with orange, green, and red microglitters. With all the glitters, there’s a bit of texture to be had, but one thick coat of Seche Vite smoothed it out quite a bit. I love how squishy this one is, especially with all of those glitters. It’s just so pretty! With my VNL I could have done with three coats, but these photos show just two because I wanted to let the glitters steal the show.
Ugh, I love both of these so much! They’re not polishes that I would normally gravitate toward, but I find myself drawn to both. They both are so unique and a nice twist on holiday shades.
We’re almost halfway through the month of December, but these babies are still available and would fit in nicely with any polish arsenal!
For all things LynBDesigns:
Thanks for stopping by, y’all! I’ll probably be back in a few hours with another post, so I hope to catch you lovelies then!
***The nail polishes mentioned in this post were sent to me in exchange for an honest review and photos, which can be found above.***
