Good morning! I wound up sleeping most of the day in an accidental attempt to catch up on the sleep that didn’t happen all week. I woke up as Mark came home from work and we’ve been hanging out since, playing Rockband 4. One of my favorite things that we do together – he rocks out on drums and I sing like nobody’s listening hoping he can’t hear me over his playing. One can only hope, hah!
Before I try to get a few more hours of sleep, I have a beautiful Christmas collection to share! Chrissy from Turtle Tootsie Polishes held a contest in her FB group (which I’ll link below) to include new swatchers and bloggers, and I was luckily chosen via random number. I’m not new to working with her, but I’m super excited to have another chance because I absolutely love her stuff!
The Songs of the Season Collection is available now, so let’s jump on into those photos.
Silver Bells; a metallic silber polish loaded with green and red flakies as well as microglitter. For whatever reason, this one looks super sheer in my macro, when in reality, it wasn’t at all. It had great coverage and built up nicely with the second coat. I’m personally not fond of metallics, but for the holiday season, this one is super pretty and a staple in all collections, I think. The red glitters tend to settle a bit in the bottle, but with a good shake, they’ll come out easily on the brush.
Silent Night; a dark blue linear holo. Holy moly. Silent night is the perfect shade of blue. It’s deep and inviting and the holo is just, ugh. So pretty! My photos show two coats plus top coat.
Rudolph’s Red Nose; a warm red linear holo. I’d almost say that this one is closer to a brick red, which is even more perfect given the name (because when I think of Rudolph I picture Santa and chimneys because who does that??). I love how this one looks – another warm and cozy shade. If you overwork it, it can show a tiny bit of brushstrokes, but the polish itself glides on so easily that it shouldn’t be an issue. Two coats plus top coat shown here.
O Christmas Tree; a pine green linear holo. We need to take a moment to appreciate just how pretty this one is. Seriously. It lives up to the name and look how strong the holo is! Two coats and top coat shown here.
Joy To The World; a dark purple linear holo. Just. Perfect. Everything about it is my favorite. Formula, color, holo. So effing good. Two coats plus top coat shown here.
Jingle Bells; a gold metallic polish loaded with green and red flakies and microglitter. My macro makes this one look sheer, too, but it’s not. Not at all. It’s super opaque with two coats. I don’t know why it looks so sheer, but I know that I’m the reason why we cannot have nice things, sooooo. Jingle Bells is another holiday classic – just the perfect shade of gold and the glitters bring so much to it. I love this one hella lots.
The Songs of the Season collection went live about 10 hours ago, and you can snag them for $54 for the full sized set, $30 for minis, or $10 and $6 respectively for individuals. Supplies are limited on these, so once they’re gone, they won’t be restocked. Chrissy also listed some new cuticle oils and soaps, which I definitely recommend!
