Good morning y’all! Or evening. I dunno. Bed time isn’t for another few hours for me, but I know some folks get up for work around this time, so here we are. Thanks to our tiny little mousy friend, sleep has been even harder to come by. It’s lovely. That means, however, that I’ve had more time to catch up on my creepy shows. If you’re into that kind of thing, be sure to check out Channel Zero: No-End House, The Mist, and The Exorcist. I thoroughly enjoy all of them, and they keep me entertained as I swatch on through the night as Mark works babysitting sticky-fingered tiny
If you follow my delayed posting on Instagram, then you’ve already seen these beauties, but they most definitely deserve their own blog post. Lexi from Geekish Glitter Lacquer just opened shop on Friday the 13th and I was able to play with a few of her limited edition polishes that are still available, so let’s take a look!
Kill Her, mommy! Kill Her! ($11); a cobalt blue jelly with dark blue shreds, electric blue micro flakies, fire red holo interspersed throughout. Lexi created this based on Pamela Voorhees from Friday the 13th and it is totally kick ass! A few swatchers, myself included, had issues with the formula sticking to the flakies and causing them to clump up BUT it seemed to only happen to a few folks and it was not super bad. After three coats (most will be able to get away with two, I just needed three for that stupid VNL), everything self-leveled and smoothed out with top coat. This shade of blue is PERFECT for a jelly finish. I could happily swim in it. Just sayin’.
Before we get to the next one, I
have need to show you fine folks what I think of each time I read the name of it. I cackle each. and. every. time. That being said, this one is actually more orange and less red.
Blood Orange Moon ($9); a blood orange colored crelly with black shreds that is inspired by the blood moon. Y’aaaaaaaall. I’m in love. It’s super pigmented and goes on really nicely in just two coats. The flakies are a bit heavier and tend to settle a bit, but if you shake your bottle really well, you won’t have to go fishing for them. Easy peasy, right?
These are both available now, in limited quantities – if you’re wanting to get your hands on these, you’re going to want to do so soonish. They’re both perfect for the spooky season, but definitely will also be good for any other time of the year.
What say you? Do you have a favorite between the two?

Thanks for stopping by! I’ll be back all throughout the weekend and week as the next round of the Polish Pickup starts, so I hope to see y’all again soon!
