Ohay! Y’all, I’ve been up since 7am. As in, I did not stay up that late BUT went to bed relatively early (
morelike5amdontlietothem) and woke up at that time. It’s almost noon and I’m fading fast. Today is going to be a struggle for sure. Before I knock out for a few hours, I wanted to share this beautiful lacquer from Cupcake Polish with you guys because ohmygooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood it’s perfect. When Sara asked me to swatch this, I may or may not have flailed and/or happy peed a little. I was so completely stoked to be able to share an exclusive with everyone and also rock it at Polish Con for everyone to see.
I feel so bad, she had sent me a shirt as well to wear on Saturday and the shipping software that she uses picked my old address instead of the current one even though I’ve ordered from this one recently-ish. As soon as the email came through, I sent one back to see if it’d already been handed to USPS… and it had. She’s so sweet, though, and sent a second to the new address immediately. The first package didn’t even get forwarded (with that feature enabled) and it was delivered to the old house, which is luckily only two streets over. I had Mark drive me over at 9:30 to knock on their door to ask for my package. It was some frat boys that looked thoroughly confused as to why I was holding my ID out, trying to prove that I was the intended recipient. I was shaky as all get out, too, because my blood sugar was off. I’m sure I looked like an addict of some sort. That was not my finest moment.
ANYWHO. Pretty nail polish. Polish Con. Yep. Moving on.
This gorgeous wine holo is what Sara created as her exclusive polish for the Chicago 2017 Polish Con this weekend. It’ll be available at the Cupcake Polish table on Saturday and ONLY there.
“We are committed to donating polishes each quarter to charity and any overpours will go towards our next donation so this will NOT be sold online for any reason!”
Party on the Pier is best described as a wine colored linear holo that’s packed with glitters, flakies, and shimmer. My photos show two coats plus top coat, and I can’t quite put into words just how pretty it is. Because it’s pretty densely packed with all of the goodness within, it dried semi matte with a tiny bit of texture. It went on super smooth, and smoothed out with one coat of Seche Vite.
So good, right?!
If you’re going, is this on your to-snag list? I hope so!
