LynBDesigns | Road to Polish Con – The Violet of Shy-Town

Press sample ahead!

Mernin’ folks! Or evening, depending on where you are and when you’re reading this, I suppose. It’s about 5am and I’m hanging out watching movies and swatching all the things while boyfriend works his normal weekend overnight shift at the LAN center. Earlier, we met up with his friend from out of town for dinner at Applebee’s. Y’all. They had ginormous margaritas for $5 and I could not resist. They were a bit busy, so I had finished it before our food came out and when the server asked if I wanted another, my tipsy ass said yes. They ran out of the big margarita glasses – I guess it’s like a giant martini glass? So the second one came out to me in a damn beer stein thingy. FULL. Because I ain’t no quitter, I most definitely finished it while eating the delicious mac and cheese and BBQ tenders that I’d ordered. SO GOOD. So, that was my Saturday. Not too bad, I’d say.

If any of y’all have been checking out the Polish Con Facebook group, you may have noticed the awesome Road to Polish Con series that they introduced for the NYC PC back in April. They brought it back for the one at the end of this month in Chicago, and I’m seriously excited. The final week has a gorgeous purple from the ever-awesome LynBDesigns and that’s what I’m here to learn y’all lovely nerds about this morning.

We’re just two weeks away from the convention, and this beauty will both be there, as well as available online here for a week starting on 9/11.

This. This polish. You guys. It’s so unique and gorgeous and just. Perfect. The name is The Violet of Shy-Town and Jennalyn describes it as a violet crelly with holo flakes and pink to orange to yellow shimmer. There’s so many different things going on in it and yet it’s this beautiful mixture that works SO well together. It’s on the thicker side with how much pigment is in it, so it’s nearly a one-coater. My photos show just two coats and top coat.

That shimmer flash and those holo flakies just completely light up the polish, I think. I could go on and on about how gorgeous it is, but I’d just rather let the photos do the talkin’.

Yum, right? I love that it’s not your standard purple or the norm for the end of summer. Starting on Monday the 11th on the Polish Con website, you’ll be able to grab this for $10 plus shipping. If you want to wait on it, you’ll be able to grab it at Polish Con on the 23rd for $8! She’s also got three other event exclusives that I’ll be sharing this week on here because uh. You’re going to want them, too.

Whatcha think? Is this on your list? Are you going to be at Polish Con? If so, you’d totally better come say hey to me! I’ll be helping out at the Cupcake Polish booth with Sara and the gang. I cannot wait!

Moar links!

I’m going to wrap this up and keep an eye on the weather station for news on Irma. If you’re down there, please stay safe. I know it’s picking up now, and with so many of my friends and family members down there, I’m a bit too anxious to do much else.

Anywho, be well, my friends! Thanks for stopping by. <3

I like the addition of the holo flakes, it helps make this polish stand out amongst other, similar polishes.
