Ohay! We’re halfway through the week and I have not one damn thing to show for it other than my entirely-too-long nap after laundry this afternoon. I mean, even then, all I really had to show was the drool on my pillow and super tangled hair. So uh. Move along.
I’ve currently got Guild Wars 2 up so I can farm ore, Portugal. The Man playing on Spotify, a diet pepsi to my right, and my giggling boyfriend playing CS:GO to my left. Life is good, yeah? I’m somewhat bummed that I slept most of my day off away, but it felt good. I barely slept while he was gone because my lameass kept waking up looking for him, so it was nice to sleep today without any worry. That sounds lame as all get out, but I have a feeling that some folks might be able to relate.
Tonight’s post has two gorgeous shinies from Literary Lacquers that you’re not going to want to miss. There’s a delicious neutral and a flashy holo, so keep reading to see them!
Unspeakably Desirable – Birthday LE ($12). This one is limited, so if it’s on your list, set a reminder. It’s yummy. It’s a coral mega glitter holo with copper, gold, and rose microglitter. It’s like the perfect watermelon shade! It’s also a one coater! I went back for a second coat but ONLY because my peel off base coat had brush strokes showing and I wanted a bit more polish to level it out. This shade is inspired by a quote from Mark Twain’s published journals.
“There is a charm about the forbidden that makes it unspeakably desirable.”
With the glitters, there’s a tiny bit of texture, but nothing that one coat of TC wouldn’t take care of. It truly glows from within, and lives up to its name. It’s seductive and juicy and absolutely gorgeous.
A Thousand Different Strokes of Light – Book club LE ($12). It is described as a light taupe subtle creamy holo with a blue shimmer and flash. Sharon W. helped design and name it, and she did an awesome job doing so. It’s inspired by Alice Hoffman’s The Museum of Extraordinary Things.
“In our world of shadows, there is no black and white but a thousand different strokes of light.”
This one also glows, even with it being a neutral shade. The blue flame pairs so nicely with the subtle holo. I may or may not be drooling thinking about it. It went on in two thin coats and then I topped it with my normal Seche Vite.
In addition to those, there are 10 returning shades:
- 84 Charing Cross Road
- Cyan-tifically Proven
- Shadow Between Us
- Je Reviens
- Rebecca, Always Rebecca
- Tia Wanna
- Curious Yellow
- English Voodoo
This will be available tomorrow, August 24th at 12p MST. The two LEs will be available until September 8th.
I’m absolutely loving everything that LitLaq has been putting out this year, what about y’all? Which is your favorite of these two?

And now I’m going to head out and play a bit more GW2 and maybe swatch some stuffs. Ooooooor I could put on Pacific Rim for the 6th time. That sounds pretty neato too!
I hope you lovely folks have a great night. Thanks for stopping by!
