Seventy Seven Nail Lacquer | Holy Shift Trio

Press samples ahead!

Hey y’all! Happy Friday! I know I’ve been quiet all week, and I’m sorry for that. I had my first migraine since the piercing (on the opposite side, ugh) and my internal clock is all sorts of off. I had a few days off in a row, but did I sleep properly for it? NAW. Nope, I binge-watched 13 Reasons Why, and me and my feelings are still recovering. I did, however, get to swatch some gorgeous shifty nail polish and even try a little art with them, so I’ve got that going for me.

Connie from Seventy Seven Nail Lacquer has launched a shifty new collection and y’all aren’t going to want to miss it. The indie world is currently obsessing over duochromes and multichromes, and I love seeing makers add their own personal flair to their contributions – what our beloved 77NL maker has created adds something special to the craze.

So let’s get into it, yeah?

First up is When the Shift Hits the Fan ($11.99 during preorder / $12.99 after preorder), which is a blue to green shifter with an almost metallic finish. Naturally, my phone wouldn’t catch the blue, but my fantastic boyfriend helped me get a photo with the shift, and ugh. It’s gorgeous. My swatch shows 3 thin coats and top coat, and then I arted with Night Owl Lacquer’s Dream and Lina Nail Art Supplies Make Your Mark 04 plate. Now, because it has a slight metallic finish, sometimes you’ll see brushstrokes. It’s more noticeable in my photos because of my ottlite, but in person it’s not super bad. However, if you don’t want the lines at all, you can sponge on the last coat and it’ll look super smooth and brushstroke free!

Shifty Business ($11.99 during preorder / $12.99 after preorder); okay. This one. This is incredible. It’s almost like a charcoal base with holo and a delicious blue to pink flame. I don’t know that that made sense, but this polish glows. It’s just wow. Y’all know grey is my jam. And this one is so unique, it’s just plain lovely. My photos show it with two coats here plus top coat and I arted using It Girl Nail Art’s metallic blue stamping polish and an older Pueen stamping plate.

I Don’t Give a Shift ($11.99 during preorder / $12.99 after preorder); EFFFFFF. This one is a muted red holo base and it shifts from pink to gold to purple and woweeee. It’s like a sunset, and it absolutely glows. This one was a two coater, too! Connie recently reformulated her base and it’s a bit thinner and it’s SO GOOD! I didn’t have many issues with the previous one, but I know some folks found it a bit thick. This one is perfect, though. It’s not too thin and not too thick, and just levels out beautifully. For my arting, I used It Girl Nail Art’s Ruby stamping polish and another Pueen plate.

So the presale for these is open now, until 5/1/17. If you snag the trio, they’re $34.50 during this window, or $35.99 after. 77NL is hoping to get all preorders shipped by 5/19. Please keep in mind that if you order other polishes with the ones on preorder, they’ll all ship together.

Aside from the fantastic names, are there any of these that y’all are definitely needing to have in your lives?

While I’ve got your attention, don’t forget to check out alllllllllllllllll the links!

Thanks for stopping by my loves! I should have another arty post up tomorrow featuring neon unicorn nails. SO FABULOUS! Until then! <3

I don’t give a shift is my favorite of the three. I think I’m in pastel and neon land though and moving on from darks.

These are all gorgeous polishes, and your stamping is spot on–each design complements the colors but lets them shine. Perfect. :)

I liked these in the bottle, but once I swatched them I was blown away. I love Shifty Business on you!
