April 2017 Polish Pickup | Seventy Seven Nail Lacquer

Press samples ahead!

Hey y’all! I hope you’ve had a lovely week so far! I uh… my days are still completely off. So, Monday, I worked until 11pm. I clocked back in yesterday at 5am (by choice, I did the trade) and then out again at 1pm. I tried to nap, and it just didn’t happen. I don’t know. I’m a total sun’s up, I’m up kinda gal, and we have blackout curtains but they didn’t help one bit. I managed to pass out on the sofa later in the evening while watching The Rite AND THEN had to get back up to be at the dentist by 7:30. Like. Why, Jenalyn? Why do you do this shit? </whine> I mean. It was worth it. I had today off, and had the time to sleep a little more AND! I’m getting my daith pierced tomorrow. You guys, I’m so excited. I’ve gone through too much excedrine with no real relief, so I’m hoping this will take some pressure off and allow my head a break from the migraines and headaches. HNNNNNG. Ah, now I’m rambling. Let’s get to the polish, yeah?

The Polish Pickup goes live this Friday at 11am EST, and for my last post on it, I’ve got a gorgeous shimmer from Seventy Seven Nail Lacquer to share!

For Connie’s inspiration, she chose “The Birth of Venus” by┬áSandro Botticelli. I love this painting. My grandmother had it hanging in one of the guest rooms when I was a child. The room was this gorgeous rosy pink and it went with the painting perfectly. Ahhh, such good memories!

This is another polish that I think captures the piece of art that it represents perfectly. It picks up the peachy pink tones throughout and the shimmer, in my mind, gives it the same ethereal feeling that the painting itself has.

Venus ($11.99) is a shimmery peachy-nude with gold flakies and a pink flash. It goes on buttery smooth, and settles out nicely. It’s also surprisingly opaque! I only needed two coats with my VNL and then topped it with Seche.

I’m absolutely in love with how well Connie does softer shades like this. She knocks everything out of the park, don’t get me wrong, but this is just fantastic.

What do y’all think? I’m pretty sure this one would be perfect as a SFW shade any time of the year (though, it’s totally perfect for spring)!

Now that we’ve seen all of the polishes (not just the ones I’ve posted, of course), what’s on your list? Are there any must-haves? Remember, shipping is a flat $3 within the US and Canada. Not bad, right?

The other two polishes that I swatched for the Polish Pickup can be found here: le polish | Number 30 and Northern Star Polish | Scream of Nature. I also have full details on what the Polish Pickup is in those posts.

As always, thank you very much for stopping by! I’m going to curl up on the sofa and pretend that I’m not nervous about getting my ear stabbed tomorrow.

***The nail polish mentioned in this post was sent to me in exchange for an honest review and photos, which can both be found above.***

Oooh those flakies! I think this turned out to be a nice representation of the painting.

I can’t believe no one is using MY pictures instead of the originals.

This is so unique. It’s almost like rose gold in shimmer form.
