Glisten & Glow | Oh, The Places You’ll Go ART EDITION

And I’m back, not even 12 hours later! I wanted to get this post up in time for the launch tonight because this set is totally perfect for nail art! Jill from Glisten & Glow totally did an amazing job with these because they stamp AND marble and are the perfect set of cremes. I’m not going to go into the formulas for these in this post since I reviewed them in my last post from earlier this morning/late last night.

These babies totally marble like a dream, y’all! Now, the white that you see on my index and ring finger, that’s totally my bad. I used Sinful Colors Snow Me White as the outside ring just to spread the polish easier without using my beloved cremes, and I managed to dip my finger back into that area after the initial design. I still like how it looks, though! So whimsical, no?

I also decided to add some of Fun to be Done over the top and then matted it. FOR SCIENCE.

Oh. And then stamping. Man. I was so jazzed to do these. Some turned out okay, others… well. Both attempts and mistakes were made.

98 and 3/4 Percent Guaranteed stamps like a dream and looks absolutely fabulous over Today is Your Day. The plate I used was the Bundle Monster x Sloteazzy BM-XL210 and then used G&G’s matte TC over the top.

I used that same plate again here, and used the full collection. My photos weren’t amazing, so I only saved this one, but it’s another whimsical look that I really enjoyed.

OH LOOK IT’S THAT BUNDLE MONSTER PLATE AGAIN. I’M NOT OBSESSED. YOU ARE. Heh. It’s also almost a fail. I need to wash my stampers, I think I used them a bit too much with this collection and got some oils on there to cause images to go seven kinds of potato. It’s still pretty, from a distance. Maybe.

ANNNND now for the fail. I don’t even know where I went so wrong. The images looked crisp and straight on the stamper, but my nails somehow managed to wonkify them into this mess. I can’t even fault y’all for judging me on this one. I’m still judging myself two weeks later. I mean, shit. Even the design wanted to run away while I was top coating it. I don’t blame it. At. All.

BUT HEY LOOK! This is me attempting to art more and totally getting out of my comfort zone! I really like that makers are asking for art with the press samples as it forces me to get creative when I otherwise wouldn’t. Kinda neat, huh?

These cremes, the two shimmahs, and the matte TC all release tonight at 9pm EST over at Glisten & Glow’s shop.

  • You can get the full set of 4 cremes for $28, or $7.50 each.
  • The Shimmah Effects toppers can be purchased for $14 as a set, or $8 each.
  • The matte top coat by itself is $6.99 and will be a part of the core essentials line.
  • Best deal for purchasing will be $45 for all 4 cremes, both Shimmahs, and the matte TC.

Okay, okay. I’ve got to go back to work now. Boooo 30 minute lunches. Thanks for checking this post out!

***The nail lacquers mentioned in this post were sent to me in exchange for an honest review and photos, which can be found above.***

Well the water marble looks like rainbow sherbet and it looks awesome. The stamping isn’t bad–you’re too harsh! The last look is really pretty! I find I am putting too much pressure on my stamper when I do that to the image.

I love this collection! Your art is fantastic and I love that we chose the same color order for our gradients on accident. Lol! Beautiful!

Nice to know they work so nicely for both watermarbling and stamping!

OH MY GOD. The matte version of your water marble /dead. This collection is so pretty and I can’t stand seeing all of your swatches. I may be strong-willed, but you have me so close to breaking my no buy.
