Baroness X | July Monthly Mythical Mystery

Press samples ahead

I’m waaaaaaaaaaaaaay late on posting July’s MMM. But but but we’re gonna say it’s for the sake of no spoilers. So. It works. Or some shit. Totally means this is now safe for eeeeveryone, right?

July was a hot mess. Birthday. GenCon prep. Moving prep. TOO MUCH. Things are settling. Kinda. House hunting blows. Hopefully we’ll have something before the first snowfall.

Let’s take a little trip back to Baroness X‘s July Monthly Mythical Mystery, Mermaid Silk. Demi did a fantastic job with it, truly. And the extras? OH MY YES.

…I’ve just been informed that my photos of the extras (for July and August) are missing. Both watermarked and unedited. AND. I already tested them out. shiiiiiit. Forgive me, y’all. I’ll find a way to make it up to you guys eventually.

Uhhh. So… let’s just take a look at the gorgeous card that Demi created! LORE. MERMAIDS. CULTURE.

Now that my greedy ass has had plenty of time to try the bubble baubles and acetone antidote, I can confidently tell you guys that they’re incredible. The bubbles from the baubles (thaaaat sounds adorable) smelled amazing and were absolutely lovely. Not too heavy scent-wise, and left my skin feeling super soft. Also, the fruit punch scent for the antidote was amazing! Seriously smelled like Hi-C from back in the day, and worked really well to get the little nooks and crannies around my cuticles. Oh, and those mermaid tear balls were AWESOME. I may or may not have stared at them for way too long. SO PRETTY.

Demi just has a way with balls.

Photos? Photos. Looking back at these (since I took them when I first received the package a few months back), I’m not fond of how they turned out. I may have to redo them and update this post.

That turquoise shimmer is unreal. I legit drooled over this polish. It went on beautifully in two coats and my top coat didn’t dull it all. blue. delicious. holo.

Mermaid Silk is no longer available, but closer to the end of the year, we may have a chance to vote on MMM colors to bring back. The listing for the November MMM is up here and will be open until October 30th!

“You will receive a full size polish with an extra or extras* (value of package will range from $18-$26). Each month will feature a polish inspired by a different mythical being or object. It’s not subscription based (yet) so you can choose to purchase each month or not.

If you choose not to have unscented extras, there may not be an option to receive the same item(s) as everyone else… in this case you will receive a substitute of equal value such as unscented mani bombs or Royal Oil.”

And now time for the links!

The fan groups are awesome, trufax. We have fun. And participate in many shenanigans. Good times. joooooooooooooin usssssssssssssss.

Thanks for reading!

What a rad backstory to go with an equally pretty polish. Shimmers are my weakness, so I’m bummed I missed this.
