I’m so tired, y’all. This move is going to kill me. Sure, it’s relatively small (stuff going into storage), but I’m a little human with large furniture in an upstairs apartment. Send help. I don’t fly out until Sunday, but I’m already tired thinking about moving in the summer heat that is Georgia. Ugh.
I’ve got the second part of the Dreamscape Collection from Baroness X to share! If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve seen all of these already, but these beauties deserve high-res photos. This collection is available (just like the first one!) on Demi’s website and you can either pick them up as a set, or individually. You want these. They’re perfection in little glass bottles.
Photo heavy, you know the drill! I’m also using the descriptions from baronessx.com since our beloved Demi can describe her polishes far better than I could ever hope to. I don’t have a way with words. Am potato. Or something. I also have all photos showing these in one coat over black and topped with Seche Vite. The second photo for each also shows the two middle fingers matted. The matte seriously brings out the colors.
Also, flakies freak my phone’s camera the eff out. Ugh. I should have my DSLR soon. Probably going to pick up a new one. SOON. Need to get through the move first.
But. Flakies. Gorgeous. Brilliant. Vibrant. Flakies. Photo time.
“Dynastic is a glass flakie polish with bright red glitter shards…Facing forward you can see gold and it shifts over to green and blue. ” In the bottle, this one reminds me of strawberries. I love it so. It’s summery and shifts to this gorgeous gold chrome depending on the lighting.
“Etheric is a glass flakie polish with fuschia glitter shards…Facing forward you can see a bright teal and it shifts over to blue, purple and then fuchsia. ” Oh sweet baby Jesus. This is my favorite. The fuchsia shards give it so much life and personality when you put them against the blue shift. Ugh. I need a cold shower. Don’t you?
“Phantasmic is a glass flakie polish with green glitter shards…Facing forward you can see a turquoise blue and it shifts over to a deeper blue and violet.” So. In the bottle (and I suppose on my nail, too) you know what this reminds me of? Mojitos! I mean, I’ve never had one because ew mint but they always look so refreshing. This polish is just that. It’s fresh and simply beautiful.
“Surrealistic is a glass flakie polish with blue glitter shards… Facing forward you can see a pink leaning purple.” This one has shifty strawberry base, too, but it translates moreso as a purple on the nail, but shifts over to a pinky bronze. That made no sense. Shit. It’s effin GORGEOUS. It’s this unique combination that I wouldn’t have ever thought to try. My goodness.
This collection is absolutely phenomenal. I don’t like matte finishes at all, but these are making me change my mind slowly. If you’d like to see swatches of the first installment of the collection, you can check them out here. You won’t regret it.
Also for sales and sneak peeks and just all around fun, be sure to check out the Baroness X fangroup, the X Army!
Thanks for reading, y’all!
