Hihi! I went on a swatching spree over the last few days, so I should have quite a bit to share as soon as I end my streak of double shifts. The last week has been an absolute blur – I’ve been watching Nurse Jackie (and oh my goodness, I love it!) and working and sleeping and oh man. I need a day off.

Anywho! I’m back with some GORGEOUS holo goodness that’s inspired by gems. You’re going to love these, especially if you like holographic polish like I do.

Brandie from Nail Hoot has been working on a series of birthstone polishes and she’s done an amazing job so far. I’ve got July, August, and September to show you, and I can’t wait to see what she does for the other 9 months of the year.

July Ruby; a gorgeous red with a super strong holo flame. This one is my favorite, and not just because it’s a red holo. My birthday is at the end of the month, so I’m always hunting for reds. This one, though, is gorgeous – the formula is so smooth and the holo is so strong that it’s almost metallic. It’s a perfect ruby shade and definitely what I’m wearing for my birthday! Oh, and it’s a single coater!

August Peridot; a single-coat green holo. I’m not sure how to describe this one since I don’t know color theory or anything like that. In my eyes, it’s a yellow-leaning green (almost kinda olivey?) and it’s absolutely beautiful. I’m blown away by the formula of all three of these. They go on smoothly and settle super quickly so you don’t have any streaks or anything. They’re perfect.

September Sapphire; a deep blue holo that goes on in one coat. OHHHHH MY GOOOOOODNESS Y’ALL. This one completely blue me away. (Y’know, the blue was a complete mistake but I’m leaving it.) It’s this super deep shade that I just want to go swimming in. I can’t even find the words to describe how beautiful this one is. I… just. P E R F E C T.

I also want to apologize for the staining and polish around the nails (for the record, these do NOT stain – these are from trying other polishes and buildup of damage). I’m having some serious issues with cuticles and the skin around my nails tearing (though I’m using oils 3-4 times a day). I may have been running a little ragged, so they’re definitely showing signs of jenalynneedssometimeoffandsometlc. Pampering is going to happen. Soon.

Isn’t this [partial] collection out of this world? I know I need backups. Nail art needs to happen with these, too. I’ll share that as soon as I actually get it done, haha.

You can buy the full set for $22.00 plus shipping here or pick them up individually for $8.00 each. Y’all need this set, I promise!

I am going to head out and see if I can find an Eevee or two before bed. I hope you guys have a wonderful night and a relaxing Sunday!

Velasha out!
