There’s hardly anything more relaxing, to me, than pouring a large glass of wine, lighting a few candles, and taking a bubble bath with a face mask on.

I, however, do not know how to relax. My version of that is sitting on the floor of my new, barren apartment with a beer and a mask on. Hell. Yes.

Yeah, yeah. I look mildly crazy. Moving + 60 hour work weeks will do that to ya. Anywho. Thanks to the lovely Emily over at Carpe Noctem Cosmetics, I was lucky enough to try her new coffee clay healing mask, and it was just what I needed. Coffee runs in my veins, so naturally I’m totally okay with slathering clay and espresso all over my face and calling it a day.

This mask is heaven, y’all. As it dries, it tightens up on your skin, and it feels wonderful. You can feel it working while it’s on your skin, but scrubbing it off is the best part. I have this face loofa… thing, and it’s perfect for light exfoliation. Use that with some warm water to buff the mask off and you’re set. Between the vitamin c and espresso powder, I do feel as if it brightens the skin. Glowing status, y’all.

The only warning I have is that you steer VERY clear of your eyes. Coffee + Epsom salt + eyes = one really bad day.

If you’re in the market for a new detox and heal mask, I urge you to check out the this one – which can be found here. You might not spot it right off in her Etsy shop, but it’s tucked away in the Apothecary Corner. Also, while you’re there, check out her Reborn Balm – cold weather is coming, and your cuticles are so gonna need some love.

Happy Tuesday!
