I have problematic skin. More specifically, I have weird oily and lizard-like shedding skin on my face. I am a lizard, and that concludes this post.

…Kidding. Mostly.

I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect moisturizer for over 5 years and so far, I haven’t found anything that I’m head over heels in love with. My jam currently is Clean & Clear’s Oil-free Dual Action Moisturizer. It doesn’t make my acne go nuts, and doesn’t leave me super oily.

However, this post is not about that moisturizer. I had the chance to test L’OCCITANE’s Light Comforting Cream and figure out why #ineedshea thanks to Influenster* and I think it’s fantastic for those super cold and dry winter months. Maybe not in Georgia because the weather is mostly made up here, but probably anywhere that has an actual winter. Because our weather has been going between 70F and 20F, I don’t think that I’ve been able to give it a fair shot. Granted, there’s a chance that it’s just my skin and not the product, but either way, I don’t think I’ll be purchasing a full-sized one.

The smell is reminiscent of baby wipes, but I’d be willing to look over it if it didn’t leave my skin so much more oily. My t-zone is normally dry as the Sahara, but when I use the tiniest amount of the cream, holy wow. I become an oil slick, and it’s not cute. I didn’t have any breakouts while using it, but I can’t stand the feeling of oily skin. It bugs the ever-living hell out of me to the point that I wash my face way too often. That, in turn, made things worse with the dry patches.

SO while the cream wasn’t too bad, it just wasn’t my cup of tea. If you have super dry skin, and live in an area with a cooler and drier climate, you’d probably like it way more than I do.

That being said, Influenster has given me the chance to test quite a few things (complimentary, I might add), and it’s a program that I recommend. If you’d like to check it out and sign up, you can here. They’ve got thousands of products that you can review and help out other users as well as rack up points for badges. Those badges help you get qualified for Vox Box campaigns – the one I’m currently in is the #refreshvoxbox and it’s pretty sweet. Trufax.

Anywho. I hope y’all have a great Sunday. I’m off to fold a bajillion loads of laundry and marathon Parks and Recreation. Thanks for reading!
