Within the last six months, and with the help of Nichole from Pretty Girl Science, I have fallen head over heels in love with holographic polishes. No, that’d be an understatement. I am 103% obsessed and I’m so not ashamed. It started out with following some indie brands she’d told me about on Instagram, and the rest is history.
Bliss Polish actually showed up in the explore tab and oh man, I had to order right away. Yvette had been mentioning releasing a new cuticle oil (Black Raspberry Vanilla? Hell yes) and that was the catalyst. It had to be mine. So, why not nab a few of her famous holos? They were begging me, no lie.
What I’m sharing with you guys today is the ever gorgeous Jess from the #ngf collection and it’s named after Painted by Jess. There’s a total of 6 polishes, all named after Yvette and some of her polish-loving besties. You need them in your life. Trust me. I’m a professional.
I would describe Jess as a hot pink linear holo under bright light (flash, sunlight, excellent lighting) and a gorgeous magenta in dim light. It goes on like a dream, but works best with thin coats. It wears really really well, and I had minimal chipping (aside from me being a potato and hitting my hands on stuff) for the week that I had it on. For my photos, I used Sally Hansen’s Hard as Nails as my base, two thin coats of Jess, and topped it all off with Seche Vite.
Pardon me while I go cry over how perfect these polishes are. GO GET YOU SOME.
